ESD, WSUD, daylight and Green Star support for Kangan Institute's new Sunbury TAFE campus, under construction and opening in 2028.
Sunbury is getting its first purpose-built TAFE campus: nearly 3,000 m² for up to 200 students, in one of Victoria's fastest-growing regions. The learning spaces need to be bright, comfortable and resource-efficient from day one, and built to deliver on Kangan Institute's sustainability commitments.
Makao is supporting Kangan Institute and architect Spowers Architects with ESD advice, a water-sensitive urban design strategy and daylight analysis for the classrooms and student hub. We are also providing Green Star support throughout design and construction.
Construction began in August 2026, and the campus is scheduled to open in July 2028.
